Worms, Germany. 24th August 2019. Randolf Stich, the Secretary of State in the Interior Ministry of Rhineland-Palatinate, addresses the opening ceremony of the Backfischfest 2019. The largest wine and funfair along the river Rhine, the Backfischfest started in Worms with the traditional handing over of power from the Lord Mayor to the mayor of the fishermen’s lea. The ceremony was framed by dances and music.
