A Rheumatic Man so Helped by Bee-stings as to beAble to Walli Without a Cane. BY J. R. SCHMIDT. One of the most interesting experimentsever to be performed anywhere is that nowtaking place in Cincinnati, where a colonyof bees is being used to cure a case of chronicrheumatism. That the sting of the honey-bee is a sure cure for rheumatism is beingproven in the presence of many prominentphysicians and representatives of the press. This unusual treatment for rheumatismis being performed upon John Renner, ofCincinnati, who has been afflicted with thedread rheumatism for years, but now for thefirst time in years can walk about mostsprightly without the aid of his cane. Thiswonderful improvement, the physicianssay, is due to the formic acid, injected intothe patients system by the stinging bees, acting as a counter-irritant, and nullifyingthe rheumatic pains. John
