Several pieces of gear lay on the floor during the Water Survival Basic Qualification at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 27. Recruits utilized a dummy M16-A4 service rifle, a Kevlar, and a flak jacket to simulate a combat situation. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. India Company is scheduled to graduate May 25.
