Nose :Beautiful, bewitching fragrance of fruit which also reflects the taste to come Taste :Slender hint of light sweetness with an extremely long, lingering fullness. Good balance. Comments :An excellent after-dinner malt and one of the best to sip and savour. A Chivas "Heritage Selection" malt. Description :Strathisla (pronounced 'Strath-eye-la') Distillery, founded in 1786 as the Milton Distillery and said to be the oldest operating distillery in the Highlands, was converted to a flour mill in 1838. It was then reconverted to a distillery.
