A primary marksmanship instructor, Edson Range, Weapons and Field Training Battalion, gives a class to recruits from Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, during grass week at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 17. The PMI’s taught recruits shooting position to improve their ability to accurately fire their weapons. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 23.
