Planting native English trees around the fells above Thirlmere Reservoir in the Lake District, UK. United Utilities who own Thirlmere and Haweswater are planting 50,000 trees around the reservoirs. They will help to reduce runoff and flooding, increase biodiversity and act as a great carbon sink.
