The power companys line is constructedwith an H-type pole line carrying the duplicate transmission line from the waterpower plant to the substation will thus be operated over a distance miles as a single system at 88,000 volts, three-phase,60 cycles. The line is designed ultimately to supplythree substations and the conductors are of No. 0 B. & copper which will insure a very low line lossunder ordinary operating conditions. On the railwaycompanys lines two crossarms are used, with large pin-type insulators. A ground wire is also carried on eachtransmission line for lightning protection. The overhead line construction is of the same generaldesign as that used on the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul. This is knownas the twin-catenaryconstruction, withtwo No. 0000 contactwires
