Negotiations have already beenentered into looking toward a sale ofthese plants and it, is probable that adefinite action will be taken at thismeeting. In the future the society should useevery effort to bring the merits of thepeony to the attention of the generalpublic who have yet but a slight knowl-edge of the many beautiful varietiesthat exist—their conception of the pe-ony still being based on the few com-mon varieties sold in the cut flowermarkets or those ordinarily seen onlawns.
