Breast biopsy slides. A technician preparing microscope slides from breast biopsy tissue. The slides will be examined to identify any cellular anomalies which could indicate malignancy. Mammography, ultrasound scans and biopsies all assist the diagnosis of a lump in the breast as benign or malignant (cancerous), and then allow further treatment to be planned.
