This image depicts a Victorian seaside hotel in Cullercoats Bay which was reduced to rubble in March 2005. But was opened in 1870 and was the home of the now famous American watercolor painter Winslow Homer for a few years in the 1880's. Who's work fetches millions of pounds in todays market place. Who stayed in room 17 on the second floor of this seventeen bedroom hotel in the 1880's too paint scene's of fishermen and fisher wives of Cullercoats. Where the artist produced his first masterpiece in room 17of this hotel, amongst other watercolors mainly of views of the windswept landscapes of Cullercoats Bay.
