Horizontal wide angle of the Brandenburg Gate on Pariser Platz illuminated in the evening with lots of tourists. The Brandenburg Gate stood right on the border of East and West Berlin and has therefore become the symbol of a reunified Germany. The desolate area that Pariser Platz was during the cold war, is now completely redeveloped and has regained much of its 19th century grandeur.
