The ancient site of Plato’s Academy. The holy house, under protective cover

Plato’s Academy in Athens, Greece, during the 4th century BCE was a complex of buildings making the first University in the world. Today it is an open archaeological site, within a park, with ruins of those buildings. Plato and Aristotle among others headed this famous school of antiquity. The name Academy comes from the local mythological hero Academos, whose shrine is there.
