Gen. George W. Casey Jr., Army Chief of Staff, presented a Purple Heart to Spc. Brian K. Roberts, during a visit to JBLM on June 11, 2010. Casey presented the award, for wounds received in Afghanistan, at Madigan Army Medical Center. Members of Spc. Roberts family were present. Roberts was assigned to Co. C, 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry, 5th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division.
