The river in the bottom of Kyambura gorge taken around entry 2

A view of the river in Kyambura gorge, a 17 kilometer long split across the great rift valley and bounded on each side by savanna. An isolated group of chimps live in this valley, cut off from all other areas by the progress of man. The area is protected by the Ugandan wildlife authority and is part of the Queen Elizabeth National park. The river itself goes from raging torrent to quiet, wide and hippo infested along it's journey to the great lakes where it disgorges it's contents.
