PACIFIC OCEAN (May 22, 2021) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Garrett Solomon, from Ewa Beach, Hi., and Airman Matthew Williams, from Colorado Springs, Co., operate an aircraft elevator aboard amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), May 22. Sailors and Marines of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are underway conducting integrated training off the coast of southern California.
