Bridgwater, Somerset, UK. 5th November 2022. Bridgwater Carnival is one of the most special and unique features of Somerset’s autumn season. Every year more than 150,000 people visit Bridgwater carnival that is believed to be the largest illuminated carnival in the world. The spectacular event, which dates back to the seventeenth century, was last held in November 2019 – over 1,000 days ago. This year's procession comprised of 46 carnival carts winding their way through a route.
