URBAN TRAINING CENTER, Ind. — The advanced ground sample collection platform, which is remotely controlled, is driven down a road at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Ind, Aug. 6. The robotic system, developed by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, is designed to allow operational forces to perform radiation reconnaissance and ground sampling missions after a nuclear detonation. The robotic system can be controlled manually or remotely. This reduces the need to send Soldiers into a contaminated area.( Army photo by Sgt. Terence Ewings, Army North PAO) 20th SUPCOM
