The final flight of Soldiers with 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, ‘The Iron Brigade’, 1st Armored Division were welcomed home by family members and senior leadership during a ceremony near the brigade’s footprint on June 6, 2021. Approximately 200 Soldiers made up of elements of 1st Battalion, 35th Armored Regiment; 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, and 47th Brigade Support Battalion made the journey back to Fort Bliss from Army Central Command area of responsibility in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
