Euthalia aconthea Caterpillar, Common Baron Caterpillar or The Baron, one of the Brush Footed Caterpillars. Camouflaged caterpillar, amazing insects

Euthalia aconthea Caterpillar has a unique style of camouflage. In this macro photography image we can see the Caterpillar in defensive mode with front portion of the body raised and head in full view on a Mango leaf its food of choice and a mild plant pest with regard to Mango Trees. Usually the head is covered and face obscured by the feathery like hairy appendages which are used to camouflage the Euthalia aconthea Caterpillar allowing it to blend in with plant leaves. An incredible evolutionary trait which protects the Caterpillar from unwanted predatory attention!
