These four distinct colors on one flower, combined with the different colored flowers on one plant, produce a beautiful contrast. Exceedingly effective when planted in groups and of great value for cutting purposes. Perpkt., 20 cts. CENTAUREA IMPERALIS. -5455. New large flowering hybrids, the result of crossing C. Moschata with C. Margarita;. They inherit the vigorous free-growing qualities of the former, being of the same easy culture, and form bushy plants 3 to 4 feet high. The flowers are of the same graceful form as the C. Margaritae ^see illustration on page 03), but of nearly double the size, and are borne on long stems in enormous abundance from July until frost. In color they range through the various tints of white, rose, lilac, purple, etc., and are highly fragrant. If cut when partially open they will keep for 10 days. For beds or mixed borders they rank with the finest annuals, while as cut flowers they are sure to become popular. Undoubtedly one of the finest introductions of the year. Per pkt., 15 cts.; 2 pkts. for 25 cts. Centaurea Marian. 5456. A handsome companion to the above. Forming a dwarfer plant, but of sturdy growth, producing flowers of the same size and shape as the C. Margaritae, but of a charming color combination. Opening a pure sulphur yellow becoming lighter and the points being tipped with clear rose— supplying a color that is wanting in the gorgeous C. Imperalis. A hand- some cut flower. Per \ kt., 35 cts. Centaurea Americana
