Light micrograph of a fibrosarcoma, a malignant (cancerous) mesenchymal tumour derived from fibrous connective tissue. The tumour cells are closely packed and arranged in short fascicles which split and merge. There are also many immature blood vessels, a characteristic that favours spread (metastasis) through the bloodstream.
