Khaplu, Pakistan - October 5, 2016: The restored Khaplu Palace and Fort now a part of the Serena Fort Hotel, Khaplu, Pakistan. Khaplu town stands at an elevation of 2,600 meters. The palace is a popular tourist site and was built in the 1840s. The palace has Tibetan, Kashmiri, Ladakhi, Balti, and Central Asian influences in its architectural design. It served as a royal residence for the ruler or Raja of Khaplu.
