Beal winter weather made its first appearance November 15 and wrought a desirable change, for the market has stiffened considerably and the quality of stock now plays an important role. The weather has chocked long-distance shipping to a certain extent. The de- mand also experienced a change for the better. Beauties are sufficient for the demand, selling out every day. The quality is as good as has been seen this season. Other varieties of roses are more plentiful, with the exception of Mrs. Russell, of which there never seems to be enough.
