Cap Blanc Nez cliffs rise 134m above the Channel and provide wide views across to England and of the French coast from Calais to Cap Gris Nez. There are long distance routes for walkers and cyclists running along the beaches dunes heathland and cliffs. It is topped by an obelisk commemorating the Dover Patrol which was formed as a joint Anglo-French venture to keep the Channel free from U boats during World War I.
