The time when a publication of Miscellaneous Texts was lookedupon with favor by scholars has, fortunately, passed. It is,accordingly, one of the iron rules of the Editor of the BabylonianExpedition of the University of Pennsylvania, Professor H. V. HiL-PRECHT, that only such texts must be issued in each volume ofthat monumental publication as form a connected whole.
