The spectrum is a rounded shape as the prisms are not the normal triangular type: they come from a dismantled old pair of binoculars. Also, they are refracting natural sunlight, so the shape of the sun is affecting the shape of the refracted images. I was delighted to see the spectacular colours and the unusual shape on my ceiling.
