Through this process the separation ismade complete. Red Clover Troubles.—The principal enemies of red clover are insects,fungous diseases and weeds. Much is heard concerning clover sickness,. Red Clover on Limed and Unlimed Land.* but little is known relative to the nature of the malady. Failure to growcontinuous crops of clover may be due to any one of several causes. Soilacidity is probably the most common cause of clover failm-e. This, aspreviously stated, is overcome by the use of lime. One of the most commondiseases of clover is anthracnose. In some sections nematodes have alsobeen resi^onsible for clover failure. Alsike Clover.—Is a perennial plant intermediate between red andwhite clover in size and appearance.
