Gandzasar Monastery (built in 1238); probably the most important monastery in Nagorno-Karabakh


Armenians claim that Nagorno-Karabakh was part of the early Armenian kingdom and always inhabited by Armenians. They point at hundreds of churches and monasteries. This is probably the most important monastery in Karabakh called Gandzasar, built in 1238.
