Imperfect egg machine drawing.
One of a very large folio of machine drawings as submitted for my PhD in Fine Art at Manchester University. This is a turntable machine drawing where a circular motion is combined with a sun and planet X drive which is able to create fine line effects where the length of the line varies slowly forming organic shapes within an oval outlne. The turntable machine a able to be programmed in different ways to vary the drawing in a predictable manner. All Taitographs, as they are termed, are subject to programme control by a variety of specially designed sequential analogue programmers. To the best of my knowledge I have designed and built more analogue drawing machines than anyone else having reached twenty five different machines and with work still in progress. The wide variety of images are not only widely exhibited but could provide graphic designers with a range of motifs.
