KINGS BAY (April 22, 2022) Electronics Technician (Submarines) 1st Class Steve Horner, assigned to the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Rhode Island (SSBN 740), embraces his three children, Perry, Theo and Noelle Horner, during the ship’s homecoming ceremony at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, following a routine strategic deterrent patrol. Rhode Island is one of six ballistic-missile submarines stationed at the base providing the most survivable leg of the strategic deterrence triad for the United States.
