All four-hour courses are made up of at least two la-boratory periods and two lectures or recitations each week ofthe term, and all other laboratory courses in the same propor-tion. Any student electing the course in Histology, Embryology,,or Bacteriology, must plan to take the entire work of the year. ^Description of Courses Anatomy—The laboratory work will be mainly dissec-tion of the cat or rabbit and the study of microscopic sectionsof all the important OHIO UNIVERSITY it Physiology—The course will consist of at least two lec-tures or recitations one hour each and two laboratory sec-tions of two hours each, every week of the term. This willbe a course of actual demonstration of the functions of thedifferent organs of the body. For example, the student actu-ally tests the action of the reagents found in the gastric juiceupon the food principles. He then uses the gastric juice pre-pared from the stomachs of different classes of animals, andtests their action upon different foods, the changes therebybeing brought before the eye. Histology—This course includes a careful study of tech-nic; taking fresh tissue and carrying it through to the finishedslide by the most approved and modern methods. The stu-dent also makes a study of the finished slide and makes draw-ings of many type tissues. This course is designed thoroughlyto fit the student preparing for the study of medici
