The mountain ridge know as the five sisters of Kintail from Mam Ratagan.

The Five Sisters of Kintail are a range of peaks connected by a narrow ridge on the north and west sides of Glen Shiel, and on the site of the 1719 Battle of Glenshiel between Scottish Jacobite forces plus their Spanish allies against the forces of the Hanoverian army. The hill named Sgurr nan Spanteach (the hill of the Spaniards in Gaelic) commerorates this. There are three munros (hills over 3000 feet ) on the five sisters ridge, Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe, Sgurr na Carnach and Sgurr Fhuaran. This last named mountain is the war cry of the Clan Macrae which is the commonest surname to this day in the lands of Glenshiel and Kintail besides these mountains
