On account of the remarkable hardness of the heads, the imported Hollander or Danish Cabbage finds ready sale at better prices than our native varieties. The Hollander grown here is in every way equal to the imported. It is quite a dis- tinct sort. Plants rather long- stemmed, but compact; leaves very smooth, but thick; head of medium size, round and very solid, being the hardest heading Cabbage we know and of the very best quality. Matures quite late, keeps well, and is considered by many the best Cabbage to hold over for spring markets.
