Queen Victoria's Monument to her Faithful Gillie - John Brown
Osborne House is a former royal residence. The house was built between 1845 and 1851 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and rural retreat. Following Albert's death John Brown was stationed at Osborne House initially to accompany Victoria while riding. Brown became a faithful companion of Victoria remaining with her for the rest of his life.
