Senior Airman Thomas Rentschler from the 94th Fighter Generation Squadron, at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., uses a cooling vest to keep his body temperature down while working outside and in hangars. The 1st Fighter Wing and Air Combat Command's science and technology team are taking the lead to protect Airmen from the heat, using a battery-powered cooling vest.
