A beautiful example of late 19th Century Peranakan or Straits Chinese architecture, this classic terraced town house in Singapore's historic Little India District is unique for its ornate arched windows, grey louvered shutters, decorative carvings, fluted Corinthian columns and traditional Chinese tiles. It would have been home at the turn of the 19th Century to a rich local Towkay, or businessman and his family. Lovingly restored, it is a striking example of Peranakan architecture.
