SCHMITZ — CLINICAL RESULTS OBTAINED 417. 25 East Washington Street THE OWNERSHIP OF THE ROENTGENOGRAM L S. Trostler, M. to St. Josephs HospitalRoentgenologist to Childrens Memorial Hospital and American Hospital, Chicago During the last ten years there has been considerable dis-cussion among roentgenologists in regard to the ownershipof the roentgenograms or x-ray plates. A few roentgen-ologists have discussed the subject before general medicalsocieties, and papers and editorials have appeared in a fewof the general medical press; but up to this time, so far as Iam able to learn, this subject has never been brought upbefore the Chicago Medical Society. Practically all roentgenologists hold and contend that allroentgenograms, x-ray plates and other records of roent-gen examinations belong to the roentgenologist, or to thelaboratory or hospital where they were made, and I am gladto say that the great majority of general practitioners, surgeons and other specialists coincide with and agree toour views upon this
