William Morris Mordey (1856-1938), British electrical engineer and inventor. His inventions included dynamos and transformers, as well as a method of ore concentration. Mordey also studied the magnetic properties of metals and alloys. He was on the governing board of Imperial College, and a Gold Medallist of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
