White Monk monastery in Vyssi Brod in Southern Bohemia


Cistercian White Monk (that how they often call order of Cistercians) monastery in Vyssi Brod in Southern Bohemia was founded on the right bank of Vltava river in 1259. Both monastery church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Dean church of St. Bortholemew, founded in 1259, were originally early gothic; hjowever, they underwent numerous architectural changes in subsequent senturies.
