The building was designed by Aron Johansson in the Neoclassical style and constructed between 1897 and 1905. Cars parked in front of the building are a thing of the past as the area is now a landscaped plaza and the parking area grassed over. The building behind (centre right) is The Department of Foreign Affairs (Utrikesdepartementet Sverige) at Gustav Adolfs Torg. This image is from an amateur 35mm colour transparency.
