Oregon Army National Guard Command Sgt. Maj. Angel Smith, outgoing command sergeant major of 821st Troop Command Battalion, presents a plaque to Command Sgt. Maj. Tasha Cruz, the incoming command sergeant major of 821st TCB, during the change of responsibility ceremony on May 14, 2022, at the Salem Armory Auditorium. Cruz is the first female Soldier from the 234th Army Band to reach the rank of sergeant major.
