Yellow-spotted River Turtles (Podocnemis unifilis). Young, eight month old juveniles, hatched from wild taken eggs and incubated in relative safety from predators within confines of a netted enclosure. Part of an experimental 'head start release' programme with aim of increasing survival rates of young animals. Caiman House and Research Center, Yupukari, Rupununi River. Guyana.
