Red Warning Flag For Otterburn Training Area Near Alwinton, Northumberland National Park.

Otterburn Training Area was first established in 1911 as an artillery range, and today training takes place 7 days a week and for virtually the whole year, except for a 4-week period during the height of the lambing season (15 April to 15 May), plus at least one non-firing week-end each month, and a 2-week break over Christmas.
