The Fountain of Love - Thomas Waldo Story - installed 1897 at the head of the Grand Avenue faces Cliveden House
The Fountain of Love was sculpted in Rome in 1897 by Thomas Waldo Story and installed in that year at the head of the Grand Avenue of lime trees which faces Cliveden House. The sculpture is inscribed 'Waldo Story Roma 1897'. It was commissioned by Lord Astor who notes the female figures are 'experiencing its wonderful elixir'.
