Kai Kocimski (7) receives his second jab of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine against COVID-19 in Warsaw, Poland on 08 January, 2022. Children aged 5 to 11 are now eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID vaccine in the EU. Health authorities in Brussels have given the green light for vaccinations to minors aged 5-11 in November and most member states have started vaccinating around the seond half of December. In December the WHO reported children between 5 and 14 account for the highest rates of COVID-19 infections in Europe.
