The Blackburn Buccaneer was a two seater low level attack aircraft of the fleet air arm. The first proto type flew in April 1958. And Fleet air arm trial started in March 1961, and entered service in July 1962 with 801 squadron. Buccaneer MKII entered service with the Fleet Air Arm in July 1962. The Royal Air Force begun operating Blackburn Buccaneer's in October 1969 with 12 squadron. A Total of 42 aircraft were ordered for the Royal Air Force and a further 60 came from the Fleet Air arm Later. They were a very rugged and maneuverable aircraft and were excellent at their low level attack role. The Buccaneer was last used on active service during the Gulf war in pin pointing targets for other Royal Air Force aircraft.
