This is accomplished bymanipulating the micrometer spindle of the torque-finder,on which is a scale and vernier graduated in degrees. Whilethe scale is fixed its vernier moves with the eyepiece andthe graduations are so marked that by the aid of a simplemicroscope conveniently hinged, differences of rlr °1 decree can be readily discerned.
