The 2016 rotation of the United States Marine Rotational Force - Darwin (MRF-D) has begun to arrive in Darwin. Some 1,250 US Marines will spend six months working from Australian Defence Force bases in the Darwin region, engaging in various training and exercise activities with colleagues from the ADF. The 2016 MRF-D rotation is largely comprised of members of the First Battalion, First Marines from Camp Pendleton in California. (Australian Defence Force photo by ABIS Kayla Hayes)
