VETERINARY SURGERY

10-year-old dog under anaesthesia, breed Belgian Tervueren suffering from a large spleen tumor. This dog is undergoing a laparatomy (exploration of the abdominal cavity). The veterinarian now incises the white line (junction between the 2 straight muscles of the abdomen) with a scalpel and a grooved director. The grooved director enables to guide the blade of the scalpel without harming the abdominal organs. Veterinary clinic of la Crau, in Saint Martin de Crau en Provence in France, picture taken on the 03/18/2008.
