Rescue Personnel is helping an injured skier in the ski area of Zermatt in the Swiss Alps. The emergency doctor protects himself and the patient against the downwash of the landing helicopter. Air Zermatt in the Swiss Alps is one of the busiest and most professional helicopter mountain rescue services in the world. Yearly the brave men perform around 1600 rescue missions, most of them in high mountain terrain. In winter injured skiers are saved, in summer lost hikers are searched or stuck climbers evacuated.
